03.06.2006. 9th Annual Assembly of the organization «Žene Ženama» took place in Brčko. 60 women and men, members of «Žene Ženama», representatives of NGOs, political parties and institutions from BiH, as well as the representatives of the Government of District Brčko attended the Assembly. The work of the Assembly was conceived through two panels after which followed the discussion of the participants.

...Women must take responsibility!
The responsibility starts with the people we voted for. It will be very difficult for women to fully participate in politics until the relation between business and politics breaks. The consequence of this relation is politics which does not deal with people's problems but with personal interests...Women should get involved in politics at local level first, within school boards, NGOs, local communities... in order to achieve better efficiency, women need to be better informed and to know about legal regulations....

...It is important not to forget that we are the nation which criticizes, but what can be changed? The idea is to be changed. We are mothers, of course, but we do not take advantage of our position even in our professional engagement- e.g. in educational process. Women's advantage is made of three aspects: thinking, feeling and acting, so the things should be approached with heart, head and actions. We should behave the best way we can...
